Not lubricated

peinzend meisje

Sometimes your vagina is too dry for sex. So something going into your vagina isn't pleasant. Wait until you’re lubricated enough before having sex. Actually, it works the same for men; they can't have sex until they have an erection.

Why doesn't it happen?

  • You don't feel like having sex.
  • You're not relaxed or you're tired.
  • You're not giving it enough time.
  • The foreplay is too gentle, too rough, too slow or too fast.
  • You're distracted and have other things on your mind.

How does a woman get lubricated?

You get lubricated when you think about sex or when you are stimulated by great foreplay. Blood rushes to your vagina, and your labia and clitoris swell up. First, the internal vaginal wall becomes lubricated and then you feel your vaginal opening getting wet. Your vagina becomes wider and deeper. It often takes longer for women to get completely aroused than it does for men. You are highly lubricated directly before and after orgasm.

Tips for getting lubricated

  • Make sure you’re relaxed and take the time to kiss and caress. This gets you aroused and lubricated.
  • Clear your head and focus on how good the touching feels.
  • Indicate what you do and don’t like.
  • Do what excites and pleases you. Or fantasise about exciting things when making love.
  • Never go straight to the vagina, play with the labia and clitoris first.
  • Make sure that your vagina is well lubricated before a penis, finger or dildo goes in. Making love will then be painless and sex will be enjoyable and exciting.
